For everything negative things that happen in Nigeria, we are always concerned about three major things. These are:

  • How did it happen
  • What will the Government say about it?
  • What will they do?

Moreover, in the case of this report. Let’s read what they say about it.

Government Response

The Nigerian government has endorsed the SSD, a political commitment to protect children, teachers, and school facilities from attack and the use of school facilities during armed conflict.

However, despite these efforts, the report indicates that attacks on education remain a persistent challenge in Nigeria.

This situation underscores the urgent need for concerted efforts to ensure the safety of educational environments and to protect the right to education for all children in Nigeria.

Lastly, the report serves as a call to action for the government and international community to prioritize the security of schools and the well-being of students and educators.
